Your Journey to Wellness Starts Here
Our approach combines medication, therapy, and personalized care to treat opioid use disorder with compassion and comprehensive support.
Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) is a chronic but treatable medical condition that occurs when the use of opioids—whether prescription pain relievers, heroin, or synthetic opioids like fentanyl—leads to clinically significant distress or impairment. It affects people from all walks of life and is often rooted in complex factors such as genetics, trauma, mental health, or prolonged exposure to prescription opioids.
At Athens Clinic, we provide evidence-based treatment to help individuals overcome addiction and begin long-term recovery.

Treatment Options
Buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone safely treat opioid use disorder by restoring brain function, easing cravings, and blocking euphoric effects. Effective for both short-acting and semi-synthetic opioids, they’re safe for long-term use under medical supervision.
Methadone
A long-acting full opioid agonist used for OUD maintenance therapy.
Buprenorphine
A partial opioid agonist that offers effective treatment with a lower risk of misuse.
Pregnancy & MAT
Medication Assisted Treatment is the recommended course of treatment for a pregnant woman with Opioid Use Disorder. It is safe and effective, leading to improved outcomes for both mother and child. MAT is proven to improve outcomes for both mother and baby during pregnancy. We offer compassionate care throughout the prenatal journey.
